TURKEY TROT STL RACE DAY INSTRUCTIONS

Safety
The safety of our participants and volunteers is our primary concern. The event will be cancelled if extreme winter weather will make travel to the event or participation in the event hazardous. Any notice of cancellation will be posted on our Facebook & Instagram pages (@s2fstlouis) no later than 6am on Thanksgiving morning. We will also notify registered participants via text message of any cancellation. Pets are not allowed on course.
Location, Directions & Parking
The Family Arena, 2002 Arena Parkway, St. Charles, MO 63303.
- From I-70’s South 5th Street exit (#229), drive south for two miles. The Arena is on the left.
- From Highway 364 (aka, the Page Avenue Extension), exit at Upper Bottom Road/Arena Parkway (#14) and drive north 1.5 miles. The Arena is on the right.
Parking will open at 6:35am. Please follow the guidance of our parking crew for parking directions. Over three thousand five hundred vehicles will be arriving, so expect parking to take some time, and arrive early. Please carpool, and park safely, quickly, and efficiently. We advise keeping your doors closed for 60 seconds after parking to allow others to park next to you safely. EVERYONE MUST BE PARKED BY 7:50am, the lot will close at this time and not reopen until after 8:45am for exit traffic.

- 8:00am 5K Starts (all participants must start by 8:12am)
- 8:45am Awards Ceremony for Overall Winners & Awards Table Opens
- 8:45am Parking Lot Re-Opens for exit traffic
- ~9:10am ½-Mile Youth Race Starts
Packet Pickup & Donations
Bib & Swag pickup is available at the times and locations listed below. We highly recommend picking up your swag and bib on Tuesday or Wednesday. If you cannot make it yourself, we do allow packets to be picked up by friends or family.
- Tuesday, November 26th - Fleet Feet St. Charles - 11am-7pm
- Wednesday, November 27th - Fleet Feet St. Charles - 11am-7pm
- Thursday, November 28th - Family Arena Race HQ (Site Map) - 6:40am-8:00am
Please help us support our local food pantries by bringing at least one canned food item and place it into one of the Donation boxes. We will allow swag/size exchanges during packet pickup, if we have inventory available in the particular swag item you'd like to switch to. If you do not pick up your packet by 9am on race morning, we no longer guarantee it.
Starting Procedures
Please proceed to the starting line five to ten minutes before the start of your race. The start line will be open from 8:00am until 8:12am. You can cross the start line to start your race at any point during this time period. Those with strollers, please be aware of your surroundings. Please wear your race number visibly on the front of your torso to ensure your timing chip works. The kids run will start at approximately 9:10am once the 5K has cleared enough for us to start the kids.
Facilities & Refreshments
Portable toilets will be available. No water will be provided on the course, so bring your own hydration as needed. We will have locally made donuts from Donut King available post-race. Water will be available at the finish. Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck will also be onsite in the post-race area selling both hot and iced drinks including coffee and hot chocolate.
Awards, Results, & Photos
Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers, top wheelchair finishers, and the top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups. Live results will be accessible from our results page.
